What Makes Us Different

We opperate by a Code of Honor that has been built by the entire team, not only ownership. And anyone wanting to join us, will have to buy completely into that.

We love to have fun, support one another, and yet we also hold each other accountable.

If you're ready for a different kind of salon family experience, learn a little more about what we have to offer below.

The Hues Family

We spend more time awake together during the work week than we do with our families. So we passionately protect and invest in our team.

Code of Honor

approach each other with kindness

Our mission with clients is to make them feel LOVED, HEARD, & IMPORTANT. Well, that all starts with how we treat each other at work. Hard days happen, tough conversation have to happen, AND that can all be wrapped up in kindness.

respect & honor our, & each other's schedules

We have learned that honoring peoples needs is at the core of respect. So when one of our team mates have made it clear when they can be at work, we don't over book them and ask them to break their boundaries.

if it's not a HELL YES, it's a HELL NO

This simple piece of code might be the most impactful AND hardest one to keep. But we have learned over and over again, that when we make decisions with a lukewarm gut feeling about it, we rarely get benefit out of it. And in worse case scenarios, it's detrimental to ourselves and business.

be on time

Your future deserves you to be on time. Your team deserves for you to be on time. Your clients deserve that you arrive on time. Having the time to start your day completely, with integrity, allows you to get the most out of your salon experience and show up like the professional you aspire to be.

be present in mind

Be where you are. Home at home and work at work. Striving to be present in the moment is critical in shaking off a stressful client experience and leaving our troubles at the door. It's a practice and we know that, but it is something we support each other in.

speak your needs to your team, call for compassion rather than bottle it up

This supports the last one. It's hard to be all you can be at work when you are struggling. And we can't be 100% all of the time. But when you can communicate "Hey I'm at 80% today, can someone help me with ______?" Then as a team, we can support you and as a group, we can add the extra 20% and = 100%.

take care of ourselves mentally & physically. "FEEL good, LOOK good, DO good."

This comes from a quote "I'll take care of ME for you if you will take care of YOU for me." Doing everything you can to get your rest, drink your water, be healthy, take care of your appearance, and keep yourself emotionally fed is important on several levels. Your future, your team, and your clients all deserve that you show up with your best self everyday.

bend & flex as needed

Sometimes we evaluate a plan at work and realize it's better to burn it to the ground than to push on into a project that isn't producing the results we want. We have to be willing to admit our expectations were not met and that, dare we say, we were WRONG about things sometimes. It's ok, we live by "What worked, what didn't, & what do we want to do in the future?"

honor our commitments. we don't commit out of guilt. we don't commit without a plan. we "PAINT the END" for each other.

In an industry of people pleasers, this one is a toughy. It's better to put something on hold than to start a half cocked plan that leaves us breaking our word to ourselves and others later. "Painting the END" means walking our way from beginning to end including expectations, who will help, what tools are needed, the timeline, and what outcomes will come from the commitment being fulfilled.

we honor meetings. we come prepared & we schedule our next ones with intentionality.

You can't have a "team" without collaboration. And collaboration requires communication. We have a rule that if you miss a staff meeting you are automatically agreeing to commit to what was discussed without you. (Facetiming allowed). Showing up with the materials required and being engaged in what's coming up next is part of supporting the integrity of our business.
