3 Tips to Get the Most out of Your Facial

Facials are a special way to show yourself a little extra love.

But enough about our spa, let's talk about how you can get the MOST out of your facial experience!

1. Don't be shy.

When you come in for your facial, we want you to feel like you're part of the family. We have allotted time just for you and your facialist to get to know each other, have a cup of Aveda Comforting Tea, and talk about your skincare concerns and goals. 

Our typical consultation lasts about 15-20 minutes and does not cut into the time of your facial. We have saved that time just to talk about you! 

So don't be shy, your facialist will ask important questions like:

"When was the last time you had a facial?"

"What is your current skincare routine like, and what products are you using?"

"What is your main concern for your visit today?" 

We want to know how you feel about your skin, and how we can help. We may even suggest some specific treatments or products to try during your facial, or things to think about for next time. Our goal is never to sell you on skincare, but to encourage the best products and practices to have you loving the skin you're in! 


2. Relaaaax

Easier said than done, even when you're looking forward to a break in your busy day. 

Lots of times, we think we're ready to relax but when the time comes, our brain takes way more time to chill out than we thought it would. 

We get comfortable on the table, and immediately start worrying about all the things that need doing, and sometimes even feel guilty for not doing them right this second. 

So how can we honor and address this?

Get comfortable, take some deep breaths, and repeat after me:

This time is mine. There is nowhere else I need to be, and nothing else I need to do right now. I am worthy of having this time to myself, and I give myself permission to be present and relaxed. 

Or something along those lines :)

Our estheticians may check in about your stress level and your headspace before they start your facial, and can offer breathing exercises and tips to help you settle in. 

Also, don't forget to put your phone on silent mode! Let your important contacts know that you'll be unreachable for a while and leave your cell in your bag!

3. Get on a schedule!

Not only would we like to see you regularly, but your skin will thank you for maintaining a facial schedule. 

We always recommend getting set up for about 4-6 weeks out, or as often as you'd like! 

Not only does skin texture and appearance improve after your first treatment, but over time we see incredible results with the improvement of signs of aging, rosacea, sun spots, and more. 

Remember that your skin's health is worth investing in, even if you only come every once in a while. We will always work with your budget and schedule to find a perfect balance for you!
